Coach Al started playing tennis more than 40 years ago and played competitively in high school and college before moving into the corporate world and then starting his own data analytics business.
He currently plays competitive tennis in the seniors’ division and has a 4.5 NTRP rating. He is in the process of being USPTA certified.
Al believes that video analysis is an excellent tool to help his students become better tennis players. By using video, coaches can more easily find flaws in strokes. As the student’s strokes are documented, a coach can develop a library of objective video that show clear progress in the student’s game. Together, visual learning AND auditory learning (coach teaching tennis by talking to his/her students) is more effective than just auditory alone.
